Austin Busch, a senior at South Hamilton High in Iowa, won the boys shot put with a fifth-round mark of 60-5.75 (18.43m) and finished ninth in the discus throw at 167-4 (51.00m) at the 112th Drake Relays Presented by Xtream and Powered by Mediacom and Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa. Busch finished 12th in both events last year at Drake Relays.
